The short version
Lock Twist does not collect your data. There is no sign-up, no analytics software, no advertising kit and no server that Lock Twist talks to. Every gig, host note, design, photo, latex count and saved link you enter stays only in the app's local storage on your own iPhone or iPad. If you delete the app, that data is deleted with it.
What is stored, and where
Everything below is saved only on your device, using Apple's on-device storage frameworks. None of it is transmitted anywhere by Lock Twist:
- Gig details you type in — date, times, venue label, the host's first name and phone number, child count, age range, theme and notes, and whether you told the host the balloons are latex.
- Your design library — names, balloon sizes and colours, twists used, difficulty, your practice time, and any photo you attach.
- Photos you take with the camera or choose from your photo library to illustrate a design.
- Stock counts — latex on hand by size and colour, and the usage history tied to gigs you have logged.
- Saved links — the web addresses, titles and notes you save to the Links tab.
- App preferences — appearance, sound and haptic toggles, your pack-reminder hour and pop-allowance setting, kept in Apple's standard on-device settings storage (UserDefaults).
Camera and photo library
Lock Twist asks for camera access only when you choose to photograph a balloon design for your library, and for photo-library access only when you choose to pick an existing photo instead. Both are optional, both are used purely to attach a picture to a design you are building, and the resulting photo is saved locally with that design — never uploaded.
Notifications
If you turn on pack or after-gig reminders for a gig, Lock Twist asks for notification permission and schedules those reminders locally on your device. Nothing about your gigs or reminders is sent to a server; there is no push-notification service involved.
The in-app web viewer
The Links tab opens web pages you have chosen to save — a supplier's colour chart, a convention schedule, a tutorial — inside the app, rather than sending you out to a separate browser. Pages you open this way behave like any web page you would visit and are subject to that site's own privacy practices; Lock Twist does not record which pages you view or share that activity with anyone. The in-app viewer's browsing data is not kept between sessions.
What Lock Twist never does
- No account, sign-in or password.
- No analytics, advertising or third-party tracking software of any kind.
- No payments, invoices or price quoting.
- No online booking, and no social feed.
- No sharing or selling of your information — there is nothing to share, since nothing leaves your device.
Children's privacy
Lock Twist is a professional tool for adult balloon entertainers and is not directed at children. The app records information about gigs — such as a host's first name, phone number and how many children are expected — for the working twister's own planning purposes, entirely on that twister's own device, and this information is never transmitted or shared.
Changes to this policy
If Lock Twist ever starts collecting or sharing information differently than described here, this page will be updated first and the "Last updated" date above will change accordingly.
